PVC D-Ring

The Shark SUPs D-Ring has been designed to be the ideal anchor point on your Paddleboard for straps or bungees. Simple and effective, all you do is glue the D-Ring in the desired location, and your board is upgraded! The Shark D-Ring can also be used to attach kayak seats, secure your dry bag and shoes, strap in your water bottle, or carry extra gear.

We suggest using Drboat repair glue to secure the points, following these recommended instructions for best results:

Inflate the board to 15 psi (if the area is leaking, fully deflate the board).
Clean the area to be glued, removing any excess glue, ideally with acetone or nail polish remover.
Apply a layer of glue to both surfaces but do not push them together yet.
Allow the glue to dry for approximately 20 minutes, depending on the temperature.
Apply a second layer of glue to both surfaces.
Push the surfaces together, ensuring no air is trapped. Apply pressure, working from the centre outward. Squeeze the glue out from the edges and use a hairdryer to heat the area, activating the glue.
Continue applying force to the area for about 5 minutes to ensure it is well secured.
Place a heavy weight on the area for at least 8 hours.
For safety, always wear protective gear such as gloves and goggles when working with glue.
