Folding US Fin Box

The Shark SUPs Folding Universal Fin Box is a smart, practical upgrade designed to improve both performance and packability. Built with a Universal (US) fin box system, it gives you maximum compatibility with a huge range of fins, so you can fine-tune your board for any water condition or riding style.

What sets it apart is its innovative folding design. Unlike traditional rigid fin boxes, this flexible construction allows your board to roll up more easily, making packing and storage quicker, neater, and far less frustrating.

Easy to install, it can be bonded directly onto most inflatable paddleboards, instantly upgrading your setup with a more versatile and travel-friendly fin system. 

We suggest using Drboat repair glue to secure the Fin Box, following these recommended instructions for best results:

Inflate the board to 15 psi (if the area is leaking, fully deflate the board).
Clean the area to be glued, removing any excess glue, ideally with acetone or nail polish remover.
Apply a layer of glue to both surfaces but do not push them together yet.
Allow the glue to dry for approximately 20 minutes, depending on the temperature.
Apply a second layer of glue to both surfaces.
Push the surfaces together, ensuring no air is trapped. Apply pressure, working from the centre outward. Squeeze the glue out from the edges and use a hairdryer to heat the area, activating the glue.
Continue applying force to the area for about 5 minutes to ensure it is well secured.
Place a heavy weight on the area for at least 8 hours.
For safety, always wear protective gear such as gloves and goggles when working with glue.
